"TWO STATES, ONE NATION POLICY" WILL STRENGTHEN THE RELATIONS WITH KAZAKHISTAN
AK Party Vice Chairman Egemen Bagis and his committee hosted Valihan Konurbayev, head of the Turkish-Kazakh Parliamentary Cooperation Group and his delegation on the 6th of January 2009 at AK Party Headquarters.
Parties exchanged views concerning the development and strengthening the relations among parties and governments during the meeting. A memorandum of understanding has been initiated between Kazakhstan's Nur-Otan People's Democratic Party and Justice and Development Party. The agreement is planned to be signed during the AK Party delegation's visit to Kazakhstan at the end of April 2009.
AK Party Vice Chairman Egemen Bagis said, "The cooperation of AK Party and Nur Otan Party as two ruling parties will contribute to bilateral relations in which two states, one nation policy is driven; and will strengthen our unity."
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Kazakh Parliamentary International Relations Department, Defense and Security Committee Nurbak Rustemov, member of the Social and Cultural Development Committee Kilisbay Bisenov, member of the Budget Commitee Kumangali Veli, officer of Foreign Affairs and Protocol Department Darhan Koserbaev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Baghdad Amreyev, Antalya Deputy Mevlut Cavusoglu, head of Turkish-Kazakh Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group and Yozgat Deputy Mehmet Cicek, Kilis Deputy Hasan Kara, Kayseri Deputy Taner Yildiz, Izmir Deputy Taha Aksoy, İstanbul Deputy Canan Kalsin and Sanliurfa Deputy Abdulkadir Emin Onen.
