EGEMEN BAGIS VISITS HUNGARY

Travelling to Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, in order to pay official visits there, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis had several meetings on 6 December 2012. 

Under his Hungary program, Bagis firstly made a speech in the 15th anniversary of starting flights by the Turkish Airlines to Budapest and later met with Mrs. Enikö Györi, the Minister of State for European Affairs with his delegation. Minister Bagis continued his program in a working dinner with Mr. Janos Martonyi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.

On his second day, meeting with Mr. Richard Hörcsik, the President of Hungarian Parliament's Committee for EU Affairs, Bagis had a short meeting with Prof. Dr. Andras Masat, the Rector of Andrassy University. Following this meeting, Bagis made a speech titled “Changing Dynamics of Turkey-EU Relations: New Opportunities and Challenges” in Andrassy University and participated in the reception which was organized after the event.

Minister Bagis also participated in the opening ceremony regarding the Project called “Turkey: The Missing Star” in Budapest on his second day of his visits.

Moreover, Bagis visited the Mausoleum of Gul Baba and the Martyrs Memorial in the region.
