"PRIME MINISTER HAS FULL CONFIDENCE"

AK Party Vice Chairman Egemen Bagis commented on the terrorist attacks in Istanbul Gungoren to an Italian Newspaper, La Repubblica, and said "We will continue our fight against terrorism until it is completely irredicated."

In his statement to La Repubblica, Bagis added that "I believe that our country is going through a very sensitive period. Nobody will gain from shooting innocent people. As our Prime Minister emphasized during his visit to the crime scene "We will continue our struggle against terror until it is completely ended."

Mr. Bagis's statement was published under the title "We will continue struggling against terrorists. Our government will save democracy in the country" by the Italian daily La Repubblica.

Bagis also touched upon the crisis scenarios in case of the closure of the party. He said that "Turkey has faced such challenging cases in the past and successfully overcome them. Tragic events, coups, earthquakes, and etc. are few of those cases that we faced. In fact, we were reborn more powerful after each incident. This makes me believe that democracy will be helping our country to increase the living standards and the future of our new generations."
