THE 10TH INTERNATIONAL TURKISH OLYMPIADS

The “Stars of Song Final” organized as part of the 10th International Turkish Olympiads was realised at Istanbul Sinan Erdem Sports Centre. 

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis and Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay made a speech during the ceremony, and the ceremony was completed with the participation of thousands of citizens.

Reminding an expression of a philosopher “The best way to predict your future is to create it” Bagis said “ Thanks to Turkish schools, they make Turkish people also be friends with those other than Turks, make the Turkish language be spoken all around the world, make this sacred nation be remembered with a different kind of love, respect and affection. I would like to thank from here the master mind of this organization, the friends who support this organization with their heart and soul and all teachers instructing Turkish language throughout the world at their early ages.”

Reminding that in 1936, Ataturk had foreseen the collapse of the Soviet Union and the communities sharing the same language, religion and culture with Turkey would be independent and he had ordered that the culture bridges be constructed; Bagis said “Unfortunately, the mentality who was tried by public conscious and convicted to lifelong opposition has swept that penalty under the rug. The Turkish schools realize that dream of Ataturk.”
