GET LOST, KID!

In Turkey-European Union Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) meeting, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis did not give any chance to provocation by Dutch MEP Barry Madlener attempting to give him a book insulting Islam.  

Egemen Bagis said:

“Mr. Madlener you are in an attempt to provoke, as always. I will answer you with a phrase that has been frequently used in Turkey in recent times. Our citizens are saying, ‘Oglum, bak git' (Get lost, kid). Mr. (Martin) Schulz, who is the President of the European Parliament of which you are a member, accused you of being racist last year in here, Strasbourg. There is nothing I want to add to the words of the President of the Parliament. However, as far as I know, you are planning to work at the national parliament of your country, the Netherlands. In fact, it would suit you more if you visited Breivik, the Norwegian killer. There is not any chance that we agree with you about the words you say on Islam. There is just one fight in Islam, it is fighting against ignorance. It is one of the goals of Islam to free those like you. I hope you are treated.”

Madlener, who are put on the agenda with his provocations in JPC meetings, insulted Muslims again in the speech he delivered in JPC meeting held in European Parliament Strasbourg building.

Besides, many JPC members taking the floor condemned Madlener for his show offs aiming at media and for insulting Muslims.
