BAGIS CONGRATULATES NURI BILGE CEYLAN

AK Party Vice Chairman, Egemen Bagis, sent a congratulatory message to Nuri Bilge Ceylan who won "The Best Director Prize" with his latest drama 'Three Monkeys" at the 61st edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

Underlining the developments in Turkish Cinema within the last years, Bagis noted in his message that it is not a coincidence that the rising nations on culture and arts are the developed and democratic ones. Referring to the progress on Turkey's development and democracy within the last six years, Bagis also said that their impulse on Turkish culture and arts played an important role behind these developments.

Emphasizing that the AK Party has always supported arts and artists, Bagis added, "I congratulate you for this great prize glorifying the Turkish Nation and contributing to the promotion of Turkey. I also thank all the performers of the "Three Monkeys" and the ones who contributed their efforts to the film.
