TURKEY WILL BE MORE POWERFUL WITH THE STIMULUS PACKAGE AND REFORMS

Answering the questions of the press members in Kars where he went for making several official visits, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said that the new stimulus system was prepared meticulously.

Indicating that the new stimulus package covers 6 geographical regions of Turkey with their different features, and expressing that this package was an economic reflection of the national unity and brotherhood project, Minister Bagis said “It is a package being prepared meticulously in order to close the difference between citizens, distribute the revenues fairly, increase the investment everywhere on the purpose of providing employment in Turkey. We hope that the effects of this package will be observed throughout Turkey within this framework. On one side the EU funds and on the other side the important projects that our investors will made at different regions of Turkey, will bring this attempt being started for the development of Turkey to a different dimension .

Stating that the EU reforms had a great effect on Turkey’s democratisation, becoming transparent and coming to this point, Bagis continued his speech as follows:

“The EU reforms had a great effect on Turkey in the process for democratisation, becoming transparent and coming to this point. We should carry out these reforms in all areas in terms of both perceiving our differences as our richness and living in this country peacefully and brotherly. We should adopt the EU standards in all areas for our own citizens from the hygiene standards of our food to the democracy standards, from the all-embracing feature of our constitution to the percentage of oxygen in the air we breathe. This is not a process that we have been carrying out for Europeans but for us, for our own citizen. When we put together this stimulus package and these reforms within that framework, a powerful Turkey will come up. I hope the stimulus package and the reforms will be beneficial.”
