Prime Minister Erdogan went to Qatar to attend the 8th Doha Democracy, Development and Free Trade Forum. Mr. Egemen Bagis, AK Party Vice Chairman in charge of Forein Affairs, Mr. Hilmi Guler, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Zafer Caglayan, Minister of Industry and Trade and Mr. Ahmet Davudoglu, top advisor to the Prime Minister accompanied Prime Minister Erdogan during his visit.
Prime Minister Erdogan, as the honorary guest to the Forum said: ‘ The process of democratisation hasn't been easy in Turkey. It is a reality that we have had painful times during democratisation process. Democracy has to base on social dynamics in order to be be deep rooted and be settled. As the Islamophobia is becoming more common an deven becoming a paranoia in some countries, Turkey with Spain is presenting an anti thesis to the Clash of Civilisations with the successful continuation of Project of Alliance of Civilisation. ‘Prime Minister Erdogan met the Emir of Qatar, Prime Minister, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy and Industry together with the delegation accompanying him. Prime Minister Erdogan recorded that the visit will serve for the accelaration of the bilateral trade and Turkey and Qatar are negotiating on energy colloboration.
