EGEMEN BAGIS HOSTS A ROUND-TABLE DISCUSSION WITH HENRY KISSINGER & AHMET ERTEGUN

Egemen Bagis, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister and a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, hosted a round-table discussion in Istanbul at the Ciragan Palace on 15th of September honoring former US Secretary of State Hon. Henry Kissinger and Atlantic Record's CEO Mr. Ahmet Ertegun. Having a limited number of attendees and all discussions being subject to Chadham House rules, many different issues including Turkish American relations, Pope's recent comments, Iran's nuclear ambitions, peace in Middle East and Lebanon were discussed.

Expecting to learn from the expertise and experience of the world renowned Kissinger, attendees had many questions on current and historic events. Mr. Kissinger carefully and patiently replied to all of the questions as time permitted him.

Carefully selected from students, academia, media, statesmen, businessmen and leaders of NGO's, the attendees stated that they were very pleased from the discussion and much was learned.
