THE YOUTH BUS IS ON THE WAY TO EUROPE

53 Volunteer students, attending to the event "The Youth Bus is on the Way to Europe" realised within the framework of 2011 European Year of Volunteerism, were given farewell from the Ortakoy Office of Ministry for EU Affairs by the Minister Egemen Bagis.

In his speech he delivered during the farewell ceremony, Bagis said that the volunteer students would form a bridge between the 11 countries on their route and Turkey. Bagis said: "You will all tell about our country, our culture and the tolerance of our people to other people in the countries that you will visit as one of the ambassadors of the Republic of Turkey."

Minister Bagis said that the volunteer students put forth Turkey's European identity with a project based on volunteerism principle and added that Turkey was in fact an indispensable part of Europe.

With the "Culture Bazaars" that will be set up in the 11 European countries, it will be ensured that the Europeans would have more accurate and positive opinions about Turkey.
