TURKEY'S DEVELOPMENT WILL CONTINUE

Paying an official visit to the AK Party's subprovincial organization in Antalya with the President of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Mevlut Çavusoglu, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis made a speech to citizens, and mentioning Turkey's 2023 vision, he indicated that Turkey's development would continue.

Minister Bagis continued his words as follows:

"If you remember, Mr. Prime Minister expressed it very well; "while others take issue with each other, we give blessings". This sentence summarizes the Justice and Development (AK) Party's difference. Some people think that they could engage in politics without regard to the national will and by spreading fear in the country but you cannot hide the truth. Turkey has made important progresses. Turkey today is the world's 16th and Europe's 6th economy. The Turkish economy is the world's fastest growing economy. Turkey has the youngest and most dynamic population. The education and health sector has developed to the extent that we couldn't even imagine 10 years ago but Turkey's development will continue. We think the present situation is not enough for us. We are determined to be the world's10th economy in 2023, 12 years later. While 10 years ago, Turkey couldn't foresee 12 hours later; now Turkey has become a country that can realize a mega project for 12 years later. Replying to a question by a journalist, Bagis made a statement about the economic crisis of the European countries.

Stating that Turkey had not experienced an economic crisis since 2002, Bagis said "Turkey has proven herself in this matter. We are not worried because we have taken measures regarding the economic crisis in the world."
