ANNUAL EUSG CUP TAKES OFF

"Secretariat General for EU Affairs Cup" was held at Ankara Racecourse in cooperation with the Secretariat General for EU Affairs (EUSG) and Turkish Jockey Club (TJK) as a part of Europe Day celebrations.

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis gave the cup to Asım Dutal on behalf of Murat Cavcav, who is the owner of the winning horse named "Chantalle Rua" and indicated that they started a new tradition with the EUSG Race.

Thanking TJK, the participants and guest ambassadors, Bagis reminded that Europe Day was celebrated in 81 provinces with various activities this year.

Indicating that Turkey was “galloping ahead” in all areas to attain better life standards, Bagis said: “People in Turkey support our development and the stability we have attained and want to see Turkey continue ‘galloping ahead’”.

Egemen Bagis said ‘I wish the political obstacles in Turkey’s EU path will be eliminated immediately and Turkey’s accession process to EU will continue at a gallop’.
