EU MESSAGES FROM YOUNG COMMUNICATORS

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis declared the winners of "Competition of Young Communicators on the Path to the EU," implemented by the Secretariat General for EU Affairs, with the academics and the professionals of communicators at the jury in a press meeting.

In the press meeting which was held at the Istanbul office of the Secretariat General for EU Affairs, Bagis thanked all the competitors for their participation and he said "The strongest point of us against the Europe is our youth and their capacity and creativeness. We very much care of taking steps with the youth on the way to the EU. Our excited, courageous, interrogator and criticizing youth who is aware of power of their hearts, and has a unique perceptive, will keep the dynamism of this road."

Bagis expressed his pleasure about the works which came out of the combination of the creative and open minds of the young people and the creativity of the communicators. The competition was held within the frame of “Turkey’s European Union Communication Strategy” (EUCS) which is implemented by the Secretariat General for European Union Affairs.

The competition is unique in including the young communicator’s creativity in order to eliminate the mutual prejudices and the lack of knowledge between the European countries and Turkey and it has reached thousands of communication students in Istanbul.
