BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis met with Northern Cyprus Prime Minister Irsen Kucuk, and indicated that mostly the people of the two countries felt sorry for the incidents between Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and added "Blood is thicker than water".

In the meeting held at the Secretariat General for EU Affairs, Bagis said the TRNC-Turkey relation was a "unique" one of babyland-motherland nature.

Bagis emphasised that those trying to cause dissention between TRNC and Turkey would be disappointed as always and added "Mostly the people of the two countries felt sorry about the unfavourable incidents because blood is thicker than water." Bagis reiterated that people would be keener on to what they self-sacrificed, and stated that Turkey attached great importance to its Babyland.

Bagis stated that aid granted to Cyprus have increased every year and would continue to do so during the AK Party ruling, and that they would continue to work together to show their brotherhood to the whole world.
