Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended "Düsseldorf Meeting" held in Düsseldorf in Germany.
During his visit, Prime Minister Erdogan was accompanied by his wife Emine Erdogan, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Egemen Bagis and State Minister Faruk Celik.
Addressing to the Turkish citizens at Düsseldorf meeting, Prime Minister Erdogan said:"For the last 50 years, our minds and hearts have been with you. As 74 million people, we have felt in all our heart all the sorrow and pain you have experienced for 50 years. For 50 years, we have shared your joy, happiness and been with you in special occasions. We have also been happy and peaceful in Turkey as long as you have been happy and peaceful here. We have been worried as long as you have been worried. We have felt your anxiety, concern and enthusiasm deep in our hearts."
During his speech at the meeting, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Egemen Bagis expressed that he had also lived abroad, been a Turk living in Germany, for 17 years and said:
"I am proud of your success. I know how you have goose bumps when you listen to our national anthem, I really know what you feel when you share with your children the joy of eating Turkish meat ball. I also know well that our workers living abroad are patriots and are loyal to their country not less than those living in Turkey. Thanks God, today we have got a Prime Minister in Turkey who treats our citizens living in Turkey and abroad equally."
Within the context of his visit to Germany, Prime Minister Erdogan will inaugurate officially the International CeBIT Trade Fair organized in Hannover.
