    WALESA: "EU WITHOUT TURKEY IS POOR "

    Visiting Ankara to attend the panel themed: "Democratization, Rights, Liberties and the EU: Polish Experiment from Solidarnosc to EU Membership" the former President of Poland and the member of EU Reflection Group, Lech Walesa met the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Egemen Bagis in a working breakfast.

    Minister for EU Affairs, Bagis declared his pleasure to host Walesa in Ankara. Furthermore, in his speech before the breakfast Walesa said: "EU is poor without Turkey. We do not know much about Turkey. I don't think that anybody will oppose to Turkey's membership in case they know much about Turkey."

    Besides Walesa and the Minister for EU Affairs, Bagis; Secretary General Ambassador, Volkan Bozkır; Ambassador of Poland to Ankara, Marcin B. Wilczek and other visitors also attended the working breakfast.
