    WE WILL ERASE THE TRACES OF PAST OPPRESSIVE PERIODS

    The 22nd meeting of the Reform Monitoring Group (RMG) was held in Istanbul under the auspices of the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis.

    A press release was held after the meeting in the Dolmabahce Palace Prime Ministry Office, with the participation of Minister of Interior Besir Atalay and Minister of Justice Sadullah Ergin.

    Declaring the decisions of Reform Monitoring Group Meeting, Bagis stated that protection of human rights in every area, strengthening democracy and carrying out political reforms aiming to develop the principle of rule of law was one of the most important aspects of EU accession process, Turkey's state policy priority. Bagis added that with each step towards this aim, peace and tranquility was strengthened, and together with the wealth level of people, the international prestige of Turkey was raised.
