ANKARA BOARD OF EU HARMONIZATION, CONSULTATION AND GUIDANCE CONVENED

Attending the Board of EU Harmonization, Consultation and Guidance meeting, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis discussed Turkey's EU accession process in his speech.

In the meeting held at the Ankara Special Provincial Administration meeting room, stating EU process was a particular concern to everyone, Bagis emphasized that everyone must adopt this process and everybody had to be informed. Bagis said "If we just leave this issue to the State, I believe we will not reach anywhere", and noted that a deputy governor for EU affairs was appointed in each of the country's province.

Pointing to the importance of winning both hearts and minds in order to continue the EU process, Bagis emphasized that there was a lot of misinformation on this issue, and it must be prevented.
