    THE FOURTH MEETING OF INTERNAL COORDINATION AND HARMONIZATION COMMITTEE

    The 4th meeting of Internal Coordination and Harmonization Committee was held at the Secretariat General for EU Affairs. Speaking at the meeting, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis mentioned the visit they paid to Spain with the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and reminded that though Spain had the decision of not making bilateral meetings with any country through its term presidency; it hosted Turkey as the only exception and gave supportive message.

    Emphasizing that they also had positive talks in Baltic countries and had good economic relations, Bagis said "The economic potential of Turkey is, indeed, one of the most significant advantages in our EU negotiation process."

    Mentioning the decisions taken at the Reform Monitoring Group convened under the presidency of Prime Minister Erdogan, Bagis expressed that the international cooperation in various fields increased as the reform efforts increased.

    Evaluating the decision of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, Bagis said that the approval of draft resolution was very afflictive and added "I hope everybody can evaluate the world peace and Turkey's contribution to it and this mistake will immediately be rectified."
