CONGRATULATIONS FOR HISARCIKLIOGLU'S DISTINGUISHED SUCCESS

Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bagis received, Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the Chairman of the Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Turkey(TOBB), for being elected as the deputy president of the Eurochambres.

In the reception at EUSG, Bagis said that he welcomed the election of TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu as the deputy president of the Eurochambres. He added: "Hisarciklioglu achieved great success which is quite meaningful for our country's EU process."

Bagis stated: "Hisarciklioglu's election, with the highest number of votes, as the first deputy president of Eurochambres which brings together all the chambers of commerce, commodity exchanges and the governing bodies underlined Turkey's European identity once more."

Bagis added: "With his performance in the Eurochambres Mr Hisarciklioglu, as a representative of us, proved that Turkey is an important EU actor even before its accession to the EU".

"Turkey's EU accession is a process that can be achieved all together. In this context, I congratulate Mr Hisarciklioglu for his distinguished success."
