FAREWELL VISIT FROM AMBASSADOR JEFFREY

U.S. Ambassador to Ankara James Jeffrey paid a farewell visit to Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis in his office at the Secretariat General for EU Affairs.

Speaking at the reception, Bagis stated that he was acquainted with Mr. Jeffrey since1999 and that the Ambassador made great contributions to Turkey-USA relations during his assignment in Turkey.

Stating that Jeffrey also made contributions to the cooperation of two countries on fight against terrorism, Bagis said he also made contributions in enabling the USA recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization.
