Upon the invitation of Baranovic University to organize a conference called "Turkish Foreign Policy", AK Party Antalya deputy Mevlut Cavusoglu and Egemen Bagis organized a trip to Belarus. For the first time ever a Turkish conference was held at Baranovic University, which started giving Turkish lessons just last year. Cavusoglu and Bagis had the opportunity to visit the Mayor of Baranovic at his office and separately get together with the rector of the university.
Aside from the program in Baranovic, deputies also made high level contacts in capital Minsk organized by Turkey's Ambassador in Belarus HE. Birnur Fertekligil and TIKA representative Dr. Umit Yildiz. Cavusoglu and Bagis had a meeting with Belarus Parliament Congress Chairman Hon. Vladimir Kanaplyow. Deputies also had meetings with other members of the congress and exchanged ideas.
Having the opportunity to meet with Turkish citizens living in Belarus and listening to their problems, Cavusoglu and Bagis also attended the Turkish Olympics Ceremony organized by the Minsk Foreign Languages University. Also visiting the University's Turkish Center, deputies held a round table meeting with the students. The deputies were also present at the Turkish Tourism Fair which was a great success in Minsk.
