Egemen Bagis met Martti Ahtissari, UN's Kosova Representative and the former President of Finland in Vienna within the framework of NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Bagis was also informed about KFOR (Kosova Force) in which 393 Turkish soldiers are currently in charge. After the meeting in which Kosova's future was discussed Bagis said:
"Kosova is a wound still bleeding in the Balkans. The continuing negotiations will determine how its future would be. However this doesn't look like a realizable objective in the near future. Mr. Ahtissari remonstrated that the Belgrade government and thus Russia do not show support for the solution of the problem. The Albanian society in Kosova wants independency; however Belgrade insists that Kosova shall remain as an autonomous government of Serbia."
